Strategies for a Successful Fundraising Event

Raise Money, Elevate Mission & Create Awareness

Whether you are thinking about holding your first fundraiser or you are embarking on the 10th Anniversary of your annual gala, your event success is defined by these elements: Money, Mission and Creating Awareness. Fundraising events not only raise much needed unrestricted funds but can raise the visibility of your mission and attract new volunteers and supporters.

In this session you will learn:
  • about the tools needed to produce a successful fundraiser

  • how to ensure your event connects with your organizational mission

  • how to determine whether or not an event should be included in your fundraising strategy based on your current organizational capacity

  • how to develop the plan necessary to execute a successful event


    • Instructor: Carreen D. Carson has over 16 years of experience in the Dallas non-profit sector. She served in executive and development positions for AIDS Arms, The Wilkinson Center and Hope International. In both staff and board member positions, Carreen has directed over 25 highly successful fundraising events raising collectively over 2 million dollars.
