Creating & Negotiating Engaging Sponsorships

Who wants exposure to my audience?

Answering that question is the first step to an engaging sponsorship. Once you find strategic sponsor prospects, and then learn what they are looking for, you have the foundation for a powerful partnership.

Recent reports indicate that philanthropic organizations, including corporate givers are asking for more marketing benefits from their non-profit partners, yet neither are sure how to value them. On the flip-side, organizations don't know how to ask for and negotiate additional fees for these benefits. Understanding the value benefit of cause marketing is key to your fund development success.

In this session we'll explore the most valuable rights and benefits to offer, how to make your sponsorship engaging, how to attract the media, and then how to negotiate for a fair, win-win price.

Participants are asked to bring 3 copies of a sponsorship package to use in exercises. We will take each package and analyze them for strengths and weaknesses, insuring that you leave with an engaging sponsorship package!

Come prepared for a WORKshop!

Following this education session participants will be able to:
  • Understand what sponsors are looking for in today's marketing climate

  • Design their sponsorship packages with more value and engagement for sponsors

  • Price their sponsorships to provide real value and then close the deal
